Max Delegates: 12

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will be awarded a CITB Construction Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme Certificate valid for five years. (Certificates will be sent as digital PDF’s – please be aware that hard copy certificates will not be sent).

Delegates will then need to undertake a refresher course prior to the expiry date on the certificate to obtain another five-year certificate

Pre-Requisite Requirements

This is a one day remote course. Delegates are required to complete the full course to be eligible for certification. This refresher course is only for delegates who have previously passed the two-day Site supervision safety training scheme (SSSTS) course and can provide proof of successful attendance. Failure to attend the refresher course prior to the expiry of an existing certificate will require the delegate to re-enter the scheme by completing the full Site supervision safety training scheme (SSSTS) course if they wish to remain in the scheme.

Delegates attending this course must have sufficient command of English language both written and verbal at site supervisor level to allow delegates to address the assessment requirements of the qualification. Please advise of any special needs i.e. Dyslexia in advance of the course.

This course will be delivered via video conferencing using Microsoft Teams Virtual Classroom. Delegates must have an internet connection, a webcam and microphone, to provide evidence of identity and the ability to answer all examination questions. Delegates that work for the same organisation can attend the course together, provided the course is accessed by individual webcam enabled laptops or computers. Mobile phones are not acceptable as the only device a delegate can use. Any device used must support a clear view of the delegate and surrounding desk area.

Delegates must log on to Teams in good time for the start of the course to ensure there are no IT issues. In the event that individuals are late logging in, they may be excluded from the event and the full fee will be charged.

The pdf workbook will be sent via e-mail to candidates one week prior to the course date, along with the Teams link to the course. A further link for the exam will be sent to candidates on the last day of the course. Please remind candidates to check their junk mail if this is not received and let the trainer know of any issues.

Candidates are asked to bring their CSCS Card Number and their National Insurance Number.

A copy of the Delegate Information Form will be issued to candidates before the course. Please ensure this is completed in full prior to the last day of the course and e-mailed by return. Please note that delegates must have a valid individual email address that is unique to the delegate and used for the online exam and electronic publication key. Group email addresses are not acceptable.

All delegates are required to show photographic identification to the trainer, such as a passport, driving license, or work ID. You will not be permitted to sit your exam without photographic proof of ID. If you have any queries on this, please contact us before your course.

The trainer will conduct an online exam with all delegates via video communication on Microsoft Teams. The exam lasts for 30 minutes and delegates must be visible via the video at all times. Delegates are permitted to refer to the supporting publication, Construction site safety (GE706), during the last 10 minutes of the examination period. The pass mark is 80% (24 questions out of 30). Delegates would be eligible for a resit should they achieve a mark between 70-77% (21, 22 or 23 out of 30). Only one attempt of a resit is allowed and may take place on the same day or by attending the final day of another course within a 90 day period. If a delegate fails the resit, they must take the whole course again. Any delegate scoring less than 67% (20 out of 30) will fail the final exam and must sit the whole course again.

If you are a CITB levy payer please provide your 7 digit levy number.
