Important Notice - Logbooks
Important Notice - Logbooks

Dear Customer,

Intertrain have recently undertaken a review of our compliance systems in conjunction with requirements specified within course joining instructions, Internal Verification and the course training plans and evidence requirements.

Further to this review it has been concluded that evidence of a learners work experience can only be accepted in the standardised logbook entries where this is required and specified within course joining instructions. Each learner must ensure that the required number of work experience entries are documented and that they have been witnessed by the required person in charge. Logbooks must also be reviewed by the learner’s line manager and this must also be witnessed in the logbook annually. Sentinel swipe in entries are also acceptable but these must be swipe in and not web check / spot check.

With the above in mind, any learner that presents for training on any recertification course requiring a logbook will be respectfully turned away should a logbook not be provided to the trainer at the commencement of the course that is completed in line with the course requirements.

To assist Intertrain in ensuring that learners are not turned away from training, please could you ensure that upon booking a course with us that the joining instructions are issued to the learner in good time and ahead of the course start date. Our joining instructions clearly identify where a logbook is required as evidence of work experience forming the pre-requisite requirements.

We thank you for your help and assistance in this matter.
