Intertrain are pleased to announce we have achieved the highest accreditation - 'NSAR Gold'

Intertrain are pleased to announce that following our recent NSAR inspection, we have been awarded for the second year running the highest accreditation - ‘NSAR Gold’.

NSAR visited our training centres early March this year; undertaking inspection against the RTAS rules and NSAR’s quality assurance framework, which mirror the inspection judgement categories of the current Ofsted inspection framework.

We achieved ‘Gold’ throughout the four categories which were:

  • Leadership and Management
  • Quality of Provision
  • Learner Outcomes
  • Personal development, behaviour and welfare

This is a great achievement for everyone at Intertrain and we are very proud that we have maintained outstanding work throughout.

Garry Taylor, Associate Director for Compliance stated – This report provides the industry with the confirmation of Intertrain’s pursuit of continuous improvement and our relentless drive for the highest of standards. Year-on-year we have maintained NSAR’s high standards for teaching, learning and assessment within the rail industry and we are really pleased with this outcome, particularly as this inspection was against the new NSAR quality inspection framework.

Throughout the company we have highly professional employees who all strive to be the ‘best in class’ – today’s inspection report clearly demonstrates that we are up there with the best!

What do our trainees think

PTS Practical Event, Warrington

The trainer had a very thorough knowledge of the subject matter, and was able to back that up with relevant real life examples. Craig was flexible in his approach and willing to go deeper into particular areas if required to ensure understanding. The facilities are good, and the indoor track training area is particularly impressive.

Martin Smith, Carillion Construction Ltd
OLEC 2, Doncaster

Very well constructed and delivered, outstanding performance on the trainer's part, both in the classroom and out on the track. I would recommend Archie McNeill to anyone who wishes to learn about overheads - a terrific experience.
