Please can you arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time and ensure you bring the following items when attending:

Photographic means of identification. Acceptable identification includes a passport, Driving Licence that includes a photograph) or Sentinel card.
National Insurance Number

Details of Medication. You will need to provide the names and dose of all medication taken in the last 14 days whether prescription or over the counter medication.

You are encouraged to bring a copy of your prescription or the medication itself to ensure an accurate declaration.

Spectacles or contact lenses - if worn.
Hearing Aids – if worn.

*If you are attending for medical assessment, you are advised to avoid exposure to loud noise and noisy situations in the 12 hours prior to testing.

†If you are attending for drug and alcohol screening, you are advised not to smoke, use mouthwash or consume either food or drink in the 15 minutes prior to your appointment

Overview

Intertrain are able to provide Network Rail Medical and Drugs and Alcohol screenings through established, RISQS accredited suppliers.

As a mandatory pre-requisite for working in the rail industry and obtaining your Personal Track Safety competence, all potential candidates must firstly undertake a Network Rail Medical and Drugs and Alcohol screening.

All Medicals are compliant with Railway Group Standard GO/RT3358 and Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124. Our screening for Drugs and Alcohol abuse meets the appropriate Railway Group Standard GE/RT 8070 and Network Rail Company Standard NR/L1/OHS/051.

Candidates are permitted to book these services through their sponsor company or on an individual basis.

Candidates can also book individual appointments for Medical or Drugs and Alcohol screenings (rather than a combined appointment) please contact our Customer Service department for further information.
