Pre-Requisite Requirements


Must be a minimum age of 18.

Sentinel smart card with OTP Lift Planner.  Assessment competency expiry must not go past Valid Until Date.

Must provide proof of 6 lift plans, there have been no incidents, accidents close calls or near misses as a direct result of the delegate completing the activities PRIOR to attendance.

Meet the medical requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124 Competence Specific Fitness Medical Requirements to minimum level 4 and Network Rail Standard NR/L1/OHS/051 (Drugs & Alcohol).

Must have sufficient command of English language as detailed in Network Rail Company Specification NR/S/CTM/021 (Competence & Training in Track Safety).

Photo ID - For British Nationals - a current and valid recognised, branded form of identity token, used for accessing the RMI (Railway Maintained Infrastructure) such as a Sentinel Card, full driving licence, passport, biometric ID Card, resident permit as per Home Office guidance or 'ValIDate' card.  For Non-British Nationals - a current and valid passport is required.

It is the responsibility of the delegates local manager to decide upon their suitability to attend the course, in accordance with the current issue of NR/L2/CTM/021 Competence & Training in Track Safety.

Please advise any requirements if a site specific induction is required for the assessor to enter the site and what arrangements are in place for these to be undertaken.  Failure to do this may result in the assessor being refused access and the assessment may not be carried out.



This assessment determines a person's competency when performing the duties of OTP LPSL - OTP Lift Planning Single Lift in conjunction with the relevant Network Rail Standard and GE/RT8000 Rule Book
